Cross-country skiing trails in Oravská Polhora

During winter, Oravská Polhora offers excellent conditions for cross-country skiing. The snow-covered landscape beneath Babia Hora, peaceful forests and open meadows provide a beautiful setting for both recreational and more experienced cross-country skiers. There are groomed cross-country skiing trails in and around the village, mostly running through gently rolling terrain, meadows and forest sections. Along the way, skiers can enjoy beautiful views of Babia Hora, Pilsko and the surrounding mountains. Depending on snow conditions, you can choose between a shorter, relaxing route and a longer winter tour. Cross-country skiing is a great alternative to downhill skiing and a wonderful way to explore the winter landscape of Slovakia’s northernmost Orava region. The current condition and grooming of the trails depend on natural snowfall.
